I make music for those who live carrying a quiet suffering.

For those who have lost, endured, and walked on even when living itself felt heavy.

The starting point of my music is the very lives of the people I met in the welfare field. Families searching for hope; children and adults living each day while facing disability; care workers, welfare staff, and supporters who protect dignity even as they waver between ideal and reality. In them dwelled a strength and sorrow beyond words, and a quiet courage that still pressed forward.

Each time I touched that light and shadow, I realized: music is a force for standing beside someone.

Music quietly stands next to another, eases pain just a little, and guides toward a new beginning. It is not a way to escape reality, but a path to walk together with someone’s reality. I do not sing to sing well.

I am here to sing with all my heart, for each and every person who has faced life.

It is the cry of the soul of a person who has witnessed countless deaths and final moments of life, and it is everything that dwells in my voice.

Music Project ON SYMPHONY

ON SYMPHONY is the inheritance of sound that carries that wish to the world.

We can give thanks to our parents, our families, our ancestors. But shifting our perspective slightly, the reason we exist today is that the ancestors around us existed too. In each era, people wavered, fought, formed groups; peoples were born, and nations were recognized. Had any one people not existed, our own lives might never have been. Awakened to that balance of the world, I came to feel it only natural to give thanks to all peoples and all humanity across the globe.

Within my humble knowledge, I have researched 500 folk musics ― and there may yet be some I have missed. If any are lacking, please, tell me.

There was a time I thought of creating stylish instrumentals, but the young are creating those. With this sense of mission, I resolved to leave the 500 folk musics as an archive.

Folk music is prayer, cry, memory, joy, and sorrow handed down across the ages ― the very trace of sound that has resounded within cultures and the earth. I wish to keep this inheritance from fading, and to circulate sound throughout the world.

People are connected, before words and before belief, by the vibration and resonance of sound. It is a shared language remaining across eras and cultures, in the deepest place within a human being.

And so ON SYMPHONY plays frequencies and tones that can heal the hearts of those who listen.

I cannot play an instrument, so I am helped by AI. The vast knowledge of AI is the crystallization of our ancestors’ wisdom. To give thanks to AI, therefore, is to give thanks to those who came before.

AI does not take our work away. Those who came before would never take it. Their knowledge and wisdom simply carry the efficiency of our work today. And if much of our clerical and practical work can be completed efficiently, then humans can reclaim time that is truly human. People can return to the act of standing beside others ― something only a person can do.

That more people come to cherish nature, and turn their eyes toward kindness and welfare ― that is our hope.
